Gettting There: By Car/Taxi
From the City, take the Pan Island Expressway (PIE) towards Jurong. Look out for and turn off at Exit 7 of the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE). Follow the prominent brown signs to the Singapore Zoo. On a regular day, the journey will take approximately 30 minutes.
THINGS WE CAN DO: Morning Highlights* (9am - 1pm)
9.00am Arrival at the Zoo
Meander through the Rainforest Walk to catch the sight of Asian small-clawed otters before heading past Gibbon Island for a glimpse of our acrobatic apes.
9.00 – 9.15am Stop by the Elephant Bathing area ( 9.00-9.30am) and pack our pachyderms with fruit during the token feeding session ( 9.15am).
9.15 – 10.00am Jungle Breakfast –with Wildlife at Jungle Flavours
The buffet is not the only draw at this unique breakfast experience. Get close to our charismatic orang utans and petite cotton top tamarins. Or pose with a snake for a memorable photograph.
10.00 – 10.30am Polar Bear Feeding ( 10.05am)
Observe the seldom-seen underwater behaviour of the world’s largest bears. Watch Inuka fishing for a treat, and learn about how enrichment keeps our bears active
OR
Traipse to Fragile Forest, a walk-thru rainforest home to free ranging lesser mousedeer, ring-tailed lemurs, tree kangaroos, sloths and butterflies amidst mighty trees, delicate ferns and stunning cascades.
Stroll over to Orchid Garden (if time permits) and admire the fragrant vanilla and the tiger orchid – the world’s largest orchid. A great burst of colours greets visitors as this exhibit showcases both long and short stalked plants; orchids that grow up from the ground, those that hang from trees, and even those that wrap around rocks. If you’re lucky you might also chance upon Singapore’s national flower – Vanda Miss Joaquim.
10.30 – 11.00am Reptile Garden
Take a quick ramble past the Reptile Gardenfor all things scaly – from our giant Aldabra tortoises to the rhino iguanas to the Komodo dragons.
11.00 – 12.00noon Spring over to the Splash Amphitheatre to catch the Splash Safari show, which stars jackass penguins, Californian sea lions, Caribbean manatees and the pelicans. The audience can expect to receive nuggets of interesting information on the animals as they witness the spectacular display behaviours from these marine creatures.

Proceed to the Elephants At Work and Play show ( 11.30am) at the Elephants of Asiaexhibit. This show gives you an insight into a working elephant’s typical day at the logging camp. It demonstrates the incredible bond between the mahouts and their elephants, and reveals how intelligent these giants are. Immerse yourself in the ecological and cultural wealth of Asia at the six huts, each of which showcases an Asian country that is home to these majestic creatures.
12.00 – 12.30pm Hamadryas Baboons – The Great Rift Valley of Ethiopia
This award winning exhibit features a spectacular troop of about 80 baboons alongside Nubian ibexes, black-backed jackals, rock hyraxes and banded mongoose in a stunning landscape of massive rocks. Experience the native Ethiopian lifestyle with rustic tribal villages, artifacts and coffee ceremony huts.
12.30 – 1.00pm Hop into Australian Outback! Interspersed with semi-arid and marginally fertile ground, this exhibit reflects the rugged beauty of Down Under. Visitors can come up close to Eastern grey kangaroos, agile wallabies and emus. Other highlights here include the inland taipan – the deadliest snake in the world with the most toxic venom, the cassowary, bearded dragon and carpet python. Learn more about these animals from the educational interpretives located throughout the exhibit and pop onto the modified jeep for a great photo opportunity.

Catch the spectacular white tigers at Tiger Trek. This exhibit is designed in an interactive mode with multimedia animal facts and messages about wildlife conservation. Visitors can have an opportunity to see a tiger’s pug mark, hear a tiger roar and watch a video on tiger bones and how poachers hunt it to make traditional medicine.
SENTOSA: getting there;
Guests boarding the orange Sentosa bus from HarbourFront Interchange will alight at the Beach Station. Remember to purchase your Songs of the Sea admission tickets from the Ticketing booth nearby!
When leaving the island, guests may either board Sentosa Express or the orange bus from Beach Station once more. Ticketing: S$3 per person (Adult and Child aged 3 and above).

To get to Sentosa, hop on the Sentosa Express located at VivoCity, Level 3.
